An der Professur für Klinische und Experimentelle Paraplegiologie der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Kooperation mit dem BG Klinikum Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Dr. Jan M. Schwab, suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine/n engagierte/n wissenschaftliche/n Mitarbeitende/n (zur Promotion).
Die Position ist im Rahmen eines von der Wübben Stiftung Wissenschaft geförderten Projekts angesiedelt und bietet die Möglichkeit, aktiv an innovativen klinischen und experimentellen Forschungsvorhaben mitzuwirken. Ziel ist es, neue Ansätze zur Verbesserung der Behandlung von Patientinnen und Patienten mit Rückenmarkverletzungen zu entwickeln und voranzubringen.
Projektbeschreibung
Ziel des Projekts ist die Untersuchung der autoantikörpervermittelten Immunantwort nach Rückenmarkverletzung (spinal cord injury/SCI) im Rahmen eines translationalen Forschungsvorhabens. Rückenmarkverletzungen sind mit einer systemischen Immundysregulation und der Entstehung einer posttraumatischen Autoimmunität assoziiert, bei der Autoantikörper zu Neuroinflammation, gestörten Gewebereparatur und eingeschränkten neurologischen Erholung beitragen können.
Mithilfe eines translationalen Ansatzes vom Krankenbett zum Labor werden klinische Verläufe von SCI-Patientinnen und -Patienten mit der Charakterisierung von Autoantikörperprofilen auf molekularer Ebene verknüpft. Ziel ist der Nachweis pathogener Autoantikörper und die Identifizierung relevanter Autoantigene sowie die Ableitung neuer diagnostischer Marker und therapeutischer Angriffspunkte zur Verbesserung der neurologischen Erholung nach Rückenmarkverletzung.

Information regarding the position
- Paygrade XXX according to TVöD VKA-K. Your job grade depends on your job qualification whereas the experience level depends on the number of working years. The yearly gross salary is hereby provided based on a full time position excluding yearly bonus and additional pay. You may find further information here
